SUMMER WRITING COURSE

Dr. James Allsup, a college professor who is on sabbatical in the Comfort area this summer to work on a novel, has agreed to do a one-month summer course that will train and practice the college bound student in writing skills.  This will be an intensive course that will involve much directed writing and feedback in a seminar-type environment with a man who has spent his life teaching students to be great writers.  The course charge will be $100 to cover the full costs of the month-long course.  This course is designed for juniors and seniors who are planning to attend 4 year colleges and would like to hone their writing skills.  If you are interested in this course please contact Jadie Matthew, CHS principal, or Laura Mullen, English Department Head, for details.
